As you have likely read in this space, two dozen local filmmakers have joined forces under the umbrella of the Alamo Drafthouse and Austin Film Society to produce a remake of Richard Linklaters 1991 Slacker. Below is the footage for the film that will play at a benefit screening on August 31 at the Paramount Theatre. Lots of locals are seen in the footage below, including the Alamos Lars Nilsen at the Continental Club, members of the Octopus Project on a makeshift stage, internet cooking sensation Hilah and many more.
