The Alamo Drafthouse and Austin Film Society celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Richard Linklaters Slacker Wednesday night with a Rolling Roadshow presentation of the Austin classic at Austin Studios .

Linklater and some of the films cast members will be on hand to present the movie that serves as a moving collage of Austins cultural landscape as the city wandered from the 80s into the 90s.

In addition to the film that put Linklater and Austin film on the map, the evening will include footage of Slacker 2011, a remake of Linklaters film as interpreted by 23 local filmmakers.

The 8 p.m. screening is free for all Austin Film Society members. Tickets for non-members are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. For more information, visit austinfilm.org/slacker.
